Que se passe-il quand le destinataire d’une composition graphique est une machine ? La reconnaissance de formes par les machines n’est pas nouvelle (on peut penser aux typographies OCR ou aux QR codes) mais nous arrivons à un point où sont reconnues plus seulement des formes, mais aussi les relations qui peuvent exister entre ces formes. La machine commence à comprendre la composition, elle peut décrire ce qu’elle voit par des phrases naturelles: “a man riding a bike down a street next to a traffic light”, etc…La machine sera-t-elle capable de décrire du design graphique ? Et pour en faire quoi ? Interrogerons cette nouvelle capacité qu’a la machine à voir le monde en lui proposant des systèmes graphiques à voir.

What's going on when the recipient of a graphic composition is a machine ? The recognition of shapes by machines is not new (look at OCR typographies or QR codes) but at a point where are recognized not only forms, but also the relations that can exist between these forms. The machine begins to understand the composition, it can describe what it sees by natural sentences: "a man riding a bike down a street next to a traffic light " ect... Will the machine be able to describe graphic design? And to do what? Let us examine this new capacity of the machine to see the world by proposing graphic systems to be seen.
